Good at making rules, bad at following them

Gotta love our government, especially this guy... It amazes me how folks like this keep getting reelected but thats a whole other discussion:

****
Sen. Chuck Schumer loves the sound of his own voice, but it carried a bit farther than he might have liked on the US Airways shuttle from New York to Washington on Sunday.

According to a House Republican aide who happened to be seated nearby, the notoriously chatty New York Democrat referred to a flight attendant as a “bitch” after she ordered him to turn off his phone before takeoff.

Schumer and his seatmate, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), were chatting on their phones before takeoff when an announcement indicated that it was time to turn off the phones.

Both senators kept talking.

According to the GOP aide, a flight attendant then approached Schumer and told him the entire plane was waiting on him to shut down his phone.

Schumer asked if he could finish his conversation. When the flight attendant said “no,” Schumer ended his call but continued to argue his case.

He said he was entitled to keep his phone on until the cabin door was closed. The flight attendant said he was obliged to turn it off whenever a flight attendant asked.

“He argued with her about the rule,” the source said. “She said she doesn’t make the rules, she just follows them.”

When the flight attendant walked away, the witness says Schumer turned to Gillibrand and uttered the B-word.

“The senator made an off-the-cuff comment under his breath that he shouldn’t have made, and he regrets it,” Schumer spokesman Brian Fallon told Shenanigans.

A Christmas Story

We went to see A Christmas Story over the weekend and it was fantastic! It's a play based off the movie I'm sure you've seen repeating 24/7 around Christmas every year.

Six actors played all the characters and it was very entertaining..especially since we had great seats. It was a small venue and you couldn't get a bad seat now that I think about it. It was also impressive to watch all the "behind the scenes" work the other actors were doing on stage to prep for the next scene, etc. while "Ralphie" would talk to the crowd.

A nice touch was that ...the sister?..or someone related to the director of the original film had THE Red Rider Rifle bb gun to let the cast borrow for the show.

LOL one bad bitch!

Climate-Gate and Fox News

its been almost two weeks since the scandal broke about leading researchers DESTROYING and MANIPULATING climate change data but you don't know jack about it if you don't watch Fox News. Just like how most of you (some I know personally!) got duped by what you saw on the mainstream news or SNL and voted in Obama, you probably still think the world is going to end because we have cars, etc. WAKE UP AMERICA

From the Media Research Center:
"An examination of morning and evening news programs on ABC, CBS and NBC since Nov. 20 yielded zero mentions of the scandal, even in the Nov. 25 reports about Obama going to Copenhagen to discuss the need for emissions reductions, but during that time, the Institute says, "the networks reported on pro-golfer Tiger Woods' 'minor' car accident at least 37 times. They also found time to report on an orphaned Moose and the meal selection at the president’s State Dinner."

Conceited in Chief

Check him out with his GQ magazine with himself on the cover.

Meanwhile, in the real world - Britain's defence secretary said yesterday:

A “period of hiatus” in Washington - and a lack of clear direction - had made it harder for ministers to persuade the British public to go on backing the Afghan mission in the face of a rising death toll, he said.

Iron Maiden: Flight 666

These guys were my favorite musicians as a youngster and I still count them in my top 5 bands - Yeah I'm a child of the 80s.

Not long ago I watched a documentary called Iron Maiden: Flight 666 and my respect for them increase ten fold. Also, just the idea of the singer flying the band to the shows, well the whole thing is just an amazing journey and you won't be disappointed.

If you are a fan of the 80's metal scene or just interested in a very very well done documentary, don't miss this!

...The Maiden tour plan was something that had never been attempted before on such a grand scale. Circumnavigating the globe, the band flew in a specially customised Boeing 757 airliner with their crew and 12 tons of music and stage equipment on board, playing 23 sold out stadium and arena shows in 13 countries in just 45 days, travelling 70,000km and performing to almost half a million fans...

Change we can believe in continues its downward spiral

Double post today!

The idiots were out in full force today to push their government takeover of our health care. Just like Obama did on October, they staged some doctors...looks like these "doctors" are 20 years old. Its bad enough to have them wear coats like they are at the damn hospital, but don't you think the stethoscope is a lil too much? Change we can believe in continues.

..the bottom picture is when Obama's team was handing out the coats on Oct 6..

Gotta love Jesse

The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Wednesday night criticized Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.) for voting against the Democrats’ signature healthcare bill.

“We even have blacks voting against the healthcare bill,” Jackson said at a reception Wednesday night. “You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.”

...granted this wasn't as good as when he said he wanted to cut off Obama's testicles, remember that?

More communism in the White House

The White House shows that Andy Stern has the most visits so far in 2009.... how many communists need to be in the White House???? At least one quit not long ago. Google this guy and make up your own mind.

Stern: There are opportunities in American to share better in the wealth – to rebalance the power when unions and government are part of the solution.

Stern: What we're working toward is building a global organization. Because workers of the world unite? It's not just a slogan any more; it's a way we are going to have to do our work.

Wake up, America - Is it still change you believe in?

Way to go Taylor! A beautiful girl, 19 years young (wow), songwriter, takes care of all the live performance melodies, set design, you name it. Also, if you missed her on SNL (again), you missed a great one.

Pay to play - change we can believe in

From the Washington Times:
During his first nine months in office, President Obama has quietly rewarded scores of top Democratic donors with VIP access to the White House, private briefings with administration advisers and invitations to important speeches and town-hall meetings.

High-dollar fundraisers have been promised access to senior White House officials in exchange for pledges to donate $30,400 personally or to bundle $300,000 in contributions ahead of the 2010 midterm elections, according to internal Democratic National Committee documents obtained by The Washington Times.

****
Also, remember when Obama said a lobbyist would not find a job in the white house if he was elected? YES WE CAN..YES WE CAN...YES WE CAN DUPE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE... Wake up, America

Music and Torture

FROM AP NEWS: A number of high-profile musicians -- including members of Pearl Jam, R.E.M. and the Roots -- pressed the government Thursday to name the songs it blasted at the Guantanamo detainee center to coerce or punish prisoners held there, the Washington Post reported Thursday.

The songs were said to be played for hours -- sometimes days, a practice the musicians say amounted to torture, and one the Obama administration says has been discontinued.

.... personally I would use Mariah Carrey or Nickelback LOL .. seriously, I'd be proud if my music was used to drive those murderers crazy. Grow up REM and Pearl Jam and whoever the Roots is!!!

Basement before and after!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Oh so long ago....

THEN SENATOR BARACK OBAMA, AUGUST 21, 2008: I'm going to have all the negotiations around a big table. We'll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators, insurance companies, drug companies. They'll get a seat at the table, they just won't be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is we'll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies.

Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

The deadline for entering was in February ...... so he won it with less than two weeks in the white house... He was president for 11 frickin days.

So did he win the prize for writing a book about his dad that he didn't even know?

Maybe for all those times he showed guts by voting "PRESENT" instead of yes or no on important matters...

Maybe it was about his preacher that hated whitey?

Because of his buddy Bill that bombed public buildings during the Vietnam War?

Maybe it was about him lying in college to get financial assistance for being a foreigner?

Maybe its for his school czar that wants to teach elementary kids about being gay?

Or the last czar to get fired because Fox News uncovered that he was a *(#$&$ communist?

Maybe its about his countless losers who didn't pay taxes but he has them on his staff anyway?

If you thought it was bull when Al Gore won it for making up global warming, well it just keeps getting better. WAKE UP AMERICA, you should get props for what YOU DO, not for what you PROMISE.

Have a good weekend

If you disagree with someone of a different race...

then you might be a racist.

ATLANTA - Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act "based on racism" and rooted in fears of a black president.

...personally I thought it was because Obama was lying and Wilson called him on it.
